I have a few and every single battery leaked before I get it 🙁
Also I'm pretty sure that dock as at least one USB port.
Oh! And those plastics break... easily.
Great little machine, right now I'm using a 70CT, almost the same but the screen is not that great, the screen on the 100 and 110 is really bright, or a lot birighter than the one on the 70 😀

Yeah I used to have a 70CT as well but I donated that to a friend a few years back. I agree about the plastics man is it fragile. My current 100CT dropped from the top of a cupboard as I was putting it back where it would be 'safe'... Bah! It works fine, the port replicator that was attached to it took most of the hit. Hopefully this eBay one comes to me in one piece too!

And ohhhh yes is the 100CT screen brighter!! Real shame about the 70CT not being bright, cos that's really its only downside.

Ordered a (mystery?) ISA sound card. It was sold as IBM Aptiva part 55H7240. Looking that up comes up with a non-impressive CS4237B-based card.

What got my attention though was the picture. Blurry and at a weird angle, yet the main feature couldn't escape my attention.

Yup, that's a wavetable daughterboard attached to it. I couldn't find any reference anywhere for part 55H7240 coming with any attached daughterboards. I asked the seller to remove the daughterboard and take a picture of it but he wouldn't do it, primarily because the 2 boards are linked together by plastic pins and he didn't want to break them.

So I bought it blindly. I'm open to suggestions as to what the wavetable board may be, or else I'll find out when it gets here (coming all the way from Israel to the USA I expect it to take 2-3 weeks).

Cool! Whatever daughterboard it is, I think there is a good chance that it is more valuable than the soundcard itself. Keep us posted.

I`m going ro replace 4GB HDD to 8GB CF, mount new fan and try to restore the original color with the help of 12% hydrogen peroxide gel.
The cells in the batteries are used (but still after 18 yers it runs 15min in battery), after a few days it began to display an error CMOS battery. They plan to change it when I can buy proper parts.
It would be a perfect 320CDT if not for one dead pixel on the display. : )

I paid for this laptop about 5E/7$ including power adapter, 2xLAN and 1xWiFi PCMCIA adapters 😁

Yeah, very likely. Even has the holes in the right places. Cool, didn't know IBM made wavetable boards. That chipset seems to have been used on quite a few other boards. I' m curious to hear what it sounds like.

Very good work 🤣 That series of Toshibas are awesome. My second laptop was a Satellite 300CDS, so I know exactly how 'great' those Dual Scan LCD screens are like. Skyroads was horrible on it 😵

Good news is they have a Yamaha audio chipset, if memory serves right, and they can be plugged into into an external display, and make for a great DOS gaming machine!

Yay for TFT!! Makes this a great machine, even with that one dead pixel (quite common back then anyway).
