I'm having a rather odd problem with a Sound Blaster Pro 2.0 card. I had previously used this sound card and had no issues. after transferring it over to a new AMD 386-40 build I put together I cant seem to get it working correctly. some games it seems to work fine and other it only partially works or doesn't work at all.

for example I tested Star Trek 25th ann. and it seemed to work fine. I heard the sound effects and the voices. Next I tested Legend of Kyrandia CD edition. this time the sound effects came through but there was no voice narration. lastly I tried Flight of the Intruder and this game outputted no sound at all. I tried both the "digitized" and "adlib" settings but no sound....

I'm at a loss. I tried using both IRQ 5 and 7 as well as enabling DMA sharing on the card but I get the same results. I would think maybe its an issue with the card but the same card worked flawlessly in a previous machine.

my setup is very simple and I'm simply using the line SET BLASTER=A220 I7 D1 T4 (or I5) in the autoexec and yes I made sure this matches the jumpers on the card.

Disable the printer port and second serial port if you don't need it? Disable the game port?

The IO controller should have a bank of jumpers for that.
