I wanted to showcase my video about doom music. It's a comment about why the fuck did Robert Prince got AWOL after doom 2 soundtrack and since we only got shit for doom music ?

Might be a blessing in disguise considering how terrible Wrack was. and besides, derivative metal (which is a bit misleading, leaving out more of the moody stuff doom/doom2 had the fans disregard) wouldn't work out for d4 anyway

Playing Doom 4 now. Thinking about disabling the music completely.

I think the music here is a lot more Quake 1 like tbh.

I listened to the soundtrack on youtube, I would go with leileilol finally. Whoever did the doom4 music did a very good job at getting the spirit of doom 1/2. I'm not sure that Bobby Prince had what it take to make today's music, but he could have been hired as a consultant or something like it. Then again, I did listen to the soundtrack and think it's quite good.

You can post a YouTube link and comments about it, yes.

We don't support embedding YouTube videos in forum posts, if that's what you're asking.

I understand. So I made it right then. But can we also shamelessly promote doom stuff we do ourself like that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQmxfoSR8RA?

Thank you VileRancour, funny you specified >10 years old. I recorded that music in 2003 and we are now in 2016, took me 13 years to decide to do a video. It grip you are old when your own stuff is vintage to yourself. But that mean you are doing stuff, so it's positive. Please show me if you got anything public.

I was searching to Wrack, expecting stupid music like the commander Keen soundtrack when I stumbled on that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2rJ35y1NYU

oh my god, that's bobby prince ? Really ! Call me crazy but if that was the soundtrack of doom 4 I would had bought it ruby on the nail. Of course I'm biased as I love what he did on doom 1, 2 and I was biased as expecting shit extraordinaire as only him can do... but that's great, I love it. The fuck is that game Wrack anyway ?

I am also a fan of the symphony of destruction music.

Nearly finished Doom now. The ambient music is really awesome but I still find the combat music a bit too glitchy and discordant.

I'm talking about the track. The title is BFG Division. Best Doom track ever made.

Do you think that doom 4 and quake 2 soundtrack sound quite the same ? It's a good thing because I just append to enjoy quake 2 music from : Sonic Mayhen, and I think that doom 4 music remind me the same.
