Hi:

After years testing several patches and tweaks to get back to life my beloved Janes Longbow 2 in W7, I've finally found a possible solution with the amazing PCem.

Let me explain the situation: As I said, I've tested a lot solutions and patches, but all of them are unstable and there is a mayor problem: Longbow2 does not like detect more than two USB devices (a Hotas, for example). It does not want to start in this case. The only way to start up is unplug all the usb joysticks and then, when the LB2 has started, plug in them again. Even then, there is a lot problems and crashes to desktop.

But, right now, thanks to PCem, I've been able to install and run it without problems (even with 3dfx emulation!). BUT! there's no way to use the moderm USB hotas/Joysticks inside PCem. At least, I did not find any way to emulate inside PCem a serial port joystick using the modern USB devices.

Months ago, I posted in the official forum(http://pcem-emulator.co.uk/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=401) about the possibility of use VJoy to emulate a serial port joy. But, at the moment, it is not possible and theres no alternative than use a real serial port joystick.

Can you think of any idea/workaround to solve this problem?

Thank you in advance.

Regards

If you build yourself the new version from the repository there's extended joystick support that was just committed several days ago, allowing four joysticks and could be configured to be an 8-button joystick or a sidewinder pad

Thank you for the info! I'll check it at home this weekend.

Hopefully the longbow 2 come back in all its glory!
