Hi, I've finally managed to get TR1 working with Glidos, after updating my graphics card driver, and can play and save perfectly, but there's a problem with the graphics. Here is one screenshot so you can see the broken writing:

Also, the gameplay graphics are choppy and the bottom of Lara's legs look green, and as she walks, there seem to be huge black spaces appearing and disappearing around her, but the area goes back to normal a second or two after she stands still. What have I done wrong? Thanks.

I'm using SiS graphics card, but that's about all I know about my system! 😐

Try grabbing the version of Glide2x.dll from the "Red Baron" page of the Glidos web site, and substitute it for the one already in C:\Program Files\Glidos

Thanks for that...it's certainly helped with the writing (which is now perfect!), but the gameplay is still choppy. Lara now looks fine, but the area/backround is blocky and in some cases I seem to be seeing through the floors and walls! Could it be my graphics card, or the resolution I play the game in?

Could you show another screen shot?

The SiS chips do have pretty useless OpenGL support, so that is probably the problem.

Ok, here's a couple of screenshots of the first level, where the ground should be white:

Yes, I've heard that the SiS graphics cards are not very good. What do you think of the old Voodoo3?
Thanks for your help!

Then these problems have to be to do with the SiS graphics support. SiS is known to be problematic.
