I am going to play around soon with installing a Sound Blaster Audigy in Windows 98 SE.
This is NOT a Audigy 2 or Audigy 2 ZS but a plain ole Audigy. I will have to look at it later to see the exact model number and device ID's.
It seems that most people hate installing the drivers for any of the Audigy series from CD and no Web Installer exists on Creative's website. I am going to unpack all the installers and cab files from the installation CD and I plan to only install the VXD Windows drivers and Audio HQ, not even the SB16 emulation. Is there any interest in this from others? Same method should apply to Audigy 2 series. Obviously I need the drivers and I want Audio HQ to be able to load SoundFont files, etc. I don't really see a need for anything else including the diagnose program.
Besides drivers and Audio HQ what would you install / use?
