So upgrades being made, Ive got more pictures, but wife is using my phone 🤣.

Replaced Rage 3d Pro with Rage 128 All in Wonder, placed a Sound Blaster Live into it, added a second 128mb of ram to make it 256mb, and added a 10/100 nic.

Previous person Installed Windows XP Pro SP3 with a P2 400 and 128mb of ram 🤣

PSU fan shroud was laying loose and broken, can't fix it, its a passive cooled cpu, so I put a second 80mm rear fan into it to go with the PSU fan that was ducted over the CPU

Is it a agp card? Or pci? I have a old pci quadro 4. If you can use it you can have it for the price of the shipping.

Anyway older gateways are nice. I'm no fan of the cases they used the the hardware is good.

There good cards. Nothing special about them. Think Toyota Corolla of video cards.

Those Gateways are pretty nice except I wish the HD bay was better designed.

Got a PNY FX 5200 from ebay for 4 dollars, not sure if to place it in my AThlon 1200 and use its Quadro 2 MXR in this P3, or put the FX into this P3 hmm

For me it was trying to put a CD-ROM and a CD-RW in the 2 bays under the floppy, the corner of motherboard got in the way of one so couldn't screw it in properly 🙁

That was my very 1st OWN PC though 😀
P2 400
10.2 GB Quantum Drive
64MB RAM
Mate who was more knowledgeable recommended paying the upgrade from the default video to a TNT 16MB

If its the motherboard with the on board Ensonic PCI64 then its a OEM Intel SE440BX board, cant get more reliable then that!

That's it excatly and with the newest bios it supports all 100mhz Coppermine chips, 768mb of SD-Ram (Gateway says 384 but it works with 3x256mb sticks).

Only downsides are ATA33/USB 1.1/Only 2 USB Ports/Lack of USB KEyboard support

But those are all to be expected.

IT has the original Quantum 10.2, it had some very interesting pictures of someones girl friend or wife, dated from 2002, and lets just say she is very attractive 🤣.

Is the FX 5200 64-bit or 128-bit? The 128-bit is a decent card, about as fast an a GF3 Ti200, and slightly faster with AA/AF turned on.

128bit, if a card has a choice between 64bit and 128bit i always go for 128
