I have a laptop, and it has Win7 on it. What freeware program are good to make recordings with?
(I am planning to make soundcard recordings)

I hate to be pedantic, but it's not freeware, it's even better.

Audacity is what we make do with these days. I think Cool Edit 2000/Pro did everything better, particularly the interface which Audacity made a half attempt to copy. But that was 15+ years ago, and shareware.
