About 1997-98 in a tv broadcast about recently appeared games was a issue about a flight sim - it looked like Red Baron II by Sierra/Dynamix, but was not by Sierra as I remember and was about first generation of jets - the battle in Korean Sky in fifties... Anybody remembers it ?

REcently read a magazine about history of aviation with a big article about planes in that conflict - so want to play that game)

You mean this? Forget it; it doesn't run properly on XP, let alone newer versions of Windows.

Never thought this thread would be that long, but now, for something different.....

I don't know anything about the 'Sabre Ace' game which Kreshna mentioned. At first I thought you were talking about 'Mig Alley'. But you may be better of with these 1956-era game expansions anyways:
- Strike Fighters 2 Expansion Pack 1 1956 Suez Crisis "Operation Kadesh".
- Strike Fighters 2 Expansion Pack 2 Hypothetical 1956 Cold War Europe campaign.
SF2 games work fine in Windows XP, Except the last one (North Atlantic) which requires some tweaking to run.
You can merge the games, and also it is easy to fly the Soviet planes with mods like this one.

May be I 've found it on another forum - it seems to be the Mig Alley'99 by the Rowan Software, who made earlier Dawn Patrol which I used to play a lot around 1996-97 in my school years)...

It is actually the first Korean War flight sim launched right after the 3D accelerator era, while MiG Alley came pretty much later. Of course, the latter was a much better game --not to mention it runs pretty well on XP, but the former was more memorable, because it was one of those games that appeared before Voodoo dominated everything.
