There's a youtube review of a fanless PC, and my Russian is...well...non-existent. Short of taking a 6 month course, any fellow Vogons willing to watch it and give a basic synopsis? I am thinking of ordering this fanless PC because similar ones with that many serial ports and specs are around $1,000, while I can get that one for $300 or so.

I'd greatly appreciate it (PM me if you can do it...)

Well, i watched it and i understood the words usb and processor....... I think he said a fair bit more about it so i guess my russian isn't very good either 🤣

Looks like a great little machine and also pretty well build and with good specs. If you have a use for it i would go ahead, 300 seems like a good deal.

It has USB and a processor? SOLD! 😎

I just want to hear the guy go through it, see if he says anything show-stopping. Anyone know any slang in Russian for "POS crappy PC won't run f-ing Crysis"?

I'm totally not trying to be a jerk or smartass, so please don't take my comments that way.

However, I notice that you're from Utah, which is a part of the USA. Generally speaking, it's other parts of the world that have trouble getting specialized tech bits. What I'm trying to say is: you probably don't need to rely on Russian reviews or order from foreign sources to get what you want/need. It's not that our Russian comrades are bad or unreliable. In fact, I absolutely love this guy. Russians are awesome and great folks! But understanding them can be challenging if you don't have an Eastern-European background. And really, it's just unnecessary. For example:

That review you mentioned looks to be some sort of beefed-up under-the-counter signage unit or something. Those are pretty easy to find at plenty of local sites like NewEgg or Amazon, etc... Just sayin'...

I suspect most of your questions (as an English speaker) would be answered on the sales page for the product:

Also, you can ask questions about the product just like on Amazon.com.

I would look askance at a product where the seller states that the product has a " cracked version of win10, no license, do not need to buy a license, you can directly use." But hey, that's just me.

This thing look pretty cool! Wonder how hot it gets with a i7? The price ant too bad looking.
Could attach one to the bottom of a desk to save space. Or put one in a camper for a cool AV system.

Edit: 15w mobile i7? One could do some neet stuff with that system.

I appreciate everyone's input.

-The guy goes through the case and parts pretty thoroughly, and waiting on a biased commentary from the manufacturer isn't the best source of correct information.

-This is one of a very few fanless PCs that having 4 serial ports for under $1,000 with the listed specs.

-I have proper Wn7 keys, but it is worrisome that it comes with "hacked" OS software, which is another reason I'd like to see what he says.

There are a few of these, or at least very similar, on Amazon but I don't think they have the same specs. I might just take a gamble. If anything I can resell it with minimal loss.

^^ I have to agree with this. Nothing special with that item. It's obviously made in china and can be bought from anywhere. In Asian markets, there are many such varieties.

Also bare in mind that some cheapo chinese products put in second-hand processors or memory (or other parts) or used ones in them. Even though they might look new. Of course, no one's gonna open up and check everything inside as soon as they're bought. Sometimes, the ports may fail or won't detect the connected devices properly.

It has 6 COM ports, but not even a single LPT port. 🙁
