Buying this stuff was a long and complicated story. Sadly expensive too, but what can you do? 😉

The rest of the pack is Tyan S1668D (have two now 😎 ), 256MB RAM, Diamond Viper V550 and some LAN and Sound Cards (not important). With shipping and taxes in Poland - almost 450$. But I was dreaming about this CPUs since I was teenager so the dream has come true

Got myself some Cambridge Soundworks FPS1000 speakers.

quite surprised how good these speakers are given they are from around 1998-9 , they sound better than the Edifiers I use on my modern machine.

Then again given alot of even mid-range products nowadays basically try to appeal to the lowest common denominator (iphone music) , maybe I shouldnt be so surprised.

True... they're sound quite impressive for its age... and after deyellowing they look nice!

I've got the black Cambridge Soundworks FPS2000 Digital speakers. Not using them, though, as they require a SBLive with digital DIN which kind of limits their usefulness to Win98, plus it's hard to set up rear surround speakers. I don't have stands, and I don't typically have a wall right behind my desk. 😒 They sit in a box now waiting for someone to give them some love.

Interesting speakers. So they don't support normal audio cables? Sounds like Bang & Olufsen to me.

I got some packages today!

It's winter in Sweden with very low humidity. You get ESD shocks even from just looking at bubble wrap!

I can only attach 4 pictures in a single post, otherwise you would have had nightmares involving bubble wrap for the next year or so as this is only the tip if the iceberg.

Yes, this one. It was described as a part of s2000. I made to cut 50eur from the initial offer. Still wasn't cheap I guess.

Not bad! I don't know if the SoundScape II was just an Elite without the daughterboard. I have an Elite - I'd have to look at the ICs on there to compare to your card. I should have some detailed pix if you look at my collection using the link in my signature.

So far I know that there is one difference in IC description - in case of Elite OTTO chip is described as OTTOR2C whereas in Soundscape II (my case) - It's OTTOR2. Don't know the implications of this difference though.
