Using Beta wayback machine (with site search) on vogons.org shows archives only since mid 2013. Is there any way to retrieve older archives of threads/posts, circa 2010?

Need to retrieve the links to patches/project(for educational purposes) from a member's signature that changed over time, without troubling the developer and hoping as well that those links are archived in the web. Understood it's a long shot, but got to give it a try.

Alternatively/additionally, how to retrieve archives of projects hosted at sourceforge.net, if at all possible, other than by disturbing the author?

Specifically, the dosbox save-states patch developed by ZenJu and its further adaptations by ykhwong & tikalat in this thread. Most of the diff's in that thread were w.r.t daum build. ZenJu's SF current Dosbox project has both xBRZ & save states. His initial 2010 save-states beta builds with source are not available for download in that thread. As my coding knowledge is just above noob, it would help to have his initial save-state patch for comparison with daum build and my feeble attempt to separate it (but with save to disk support) and apply it to latest dosbox svn, if not done already, that is. One that will atleast broaden my knowledge, for sure, if not anything else.

Try searching the web archive using vogons.zetafleet.com instead of vogons.org

Thanks 😀

Though vogons.zetafleet.com had crossed my viewport a few times before, silly of me to not connect the dots about the forum's older whereabouts. Guess, it was always registered as vogons.org at the back of my mind, that's why perhaps.

That aside, now forward march to retrieving the archived thread(hopefully), with the added difficulty of the aforementioned thread 'moved' from one sub-forum(Dosbox General/Milliways???) to another(Dosbox Development/Dosbox Patches???), most probably.

Off-topic: Got the old link by the reference of thread number(25274) dated 23.10.2012(nothing before that) with Beta9 build & source in ZenJu's signature.

Unfortunately the link download failed. If anyone has it readily available(had been downloaded more than 1000 times 🤣 ), please share it along with older sources(till Beta4 probably) too and help me get started in this (most likely futile) journey. It seems way above my head 😵 , as of now, not going to give up though.

Got it real fast from Qbix. What more could you expect 'unexpected' from a forum? 🤣
