Thinking of hooking a laptop up to the TV and try some gaming with my wife on the couch. I'm thinking graphical adventures would work well (like "The Dig"), where one person "drives" and the other person watches and throws out suggestions and picks dialogue choices.

Anyone ever do this with their SO? Any game recommendations? I'm actually considering Planescape:Torment because it is heavy on storyline and conversation, and light on combat. I've never played this game but I've heard mostly good things about it. Plus, it seems like a genre she would enjoy (she's into shows like Walking Dead, Vampire Diaries and Supernatural).

The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don't know.

Yes, I've played Secret of Monkey Island with my wife doing exactly what you said and it worked well. I think Lucas games map well to that.

I think we're going to try Loom, Sam and Max Hit the Road, or I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream first. Loom is a short game and pretty simple, so might be the best one to start. Then if it goes well, we'll check out the other two.

I had technical difficulties with Planescape: Torment. The only laptop I have with HDMI has integrated Intel graphics (Pentium T4400) which won't cut it.

Never tried myself but I remember reading a section of F-19 Stealth Fighter Strategy Guide that said the game could be better played by two people due to its slow-paced nature.

Never thought this thread would be that long, but now, for something different.....
