Hi,

I was looking at how the pc game graphic has improved in these years and I watched the Unreal Paris tech demo video based on the U4 engine and I'm impressed. If I always didn't like the whole sci-fi not-enough-realistic look that too many (!) "next gen" games had since ever, finally realistic global illumination in a real time rendering and in a real world environment (update: even it's just an architecture homemade demo)
What do you think of those demos? Any games will look like these?
I don't have a good gpu to even try these demos but finally these is the graphic I'd expect.
Bye

The photorealistic houses are truly something to behold. I've tricked some people into thinking they are photos a couple of times. The look on their face when I move around the space in real time is truly something to behold 🤣

Yeah. I remember that even when pixel shader was first used and the hw could not render something like this in real time, I was hoping to see games that had less absurd futuristic space monsters and .. like that but more of one single simple and real world environment scene. I'd buy a game with a single room like that. 😁

I can't imagine to enjoy ultra complex games you need a manual and a map to go on.
