Hello everyone, just found something rather bizzarely.:

https://mcintyre.itch.io/pc-building-simulator

I thought it was an April fool hoax, but it seems to be real (pun indended). 😉

Anyway, I thought some of you may enjoy it, so that's why I'm posting my discovery here. 😀

PS: I don't get it why it is named a "building simulator"; because that would imply people are actually creating
a machine from the ground up (soldering ICs, making PCBs, designing the power supply, welding the case, etc.),
so "assembling simulator" would be more fitting here.

You're welcome! ^^

And I'm glad you enjoyed it in some way! 😁

When that sim is past alpha stage, then perhaps it can come in handy for planning
or showcasing an actual PC build. Similar to those house planners. Who knows.. 😉

This would be a great tool when deciding what parts to pick when building a new pc.
Would be great if companys would release 3d models of the hardware they sell so you can decide on color or theme when building a pc.

Would be even nicer if it were open source, or at least like TA was where the game itself was closed source, but one was free to create new units and upload it so others could download and use it.

I don't think many of the really old stuff would be made in 3D for this program, if only due to many of the old manufacturers not being in existence anymore.

And I would like a case where the PSU is mounted in the top and not on the bottom!!1 (gets up to collect tar and feathers 🤣)
