Module comes from Germany - so I thing there is 220V - am I correct?
And If I want to change wavetable card (for in. ex. Korg Ai20) do I have to do anything?

Yes, it's already set for 230V - look on the left of your pic, there are two blocks of pins depending on the AC voltage. Yours is fine for Europe already.

Just replace it and you're set. The only limitation is the physical size of the DB, but Ai20 should fit.

Behold the bravest Sound Blaster 16 ever. Not retro in itself, however should be a nice replacement for my SD card adapters in retro rigs as I keep running into problems when using SD cards as hard drives.

Do you (everyone!) buy and sell your retro hardware as bundles (as in motherboard / CPU / RAM) or do you buy separately? What I would like to sell isn't particularly rare (ASUS P2B / P2 450MHz / 3x 64MB PC-100 SDRAM) but I am not sure which way is best to list it. I assume people are generally after a particular make or model (I know I was but It was my first time exploring retro PCs) of something so selling separately will get more attention...

I would list it together. The key is to make sure you have a good title since that is the main search criteria.

It is just not worth it to list the other parts (RAM and CPU) separately IMO.

Bought an untested lot of 10 GPUs off eBay Australia for AUD 40 shipped. My first time having a go at this.

Highlight was this 9800 pro. However it would shut down after a while in 3DMark, but putting on a new cooler and it completed it. It got just over 20k in 3DMark2001 on my GPU test bench. Pretty much all other cards worked, one was for Apple, a Rage 128 Pro that I can't test, and a Matrox G450 was the only card not working. Was surprised that so many cards actually worked. Packing was bad. All cards stacked on top of each other with zero protection.

The other cards are nothing special, but still useful such as MX4000, 9600SE (64 bit), MX400, 9250, TNT2 M64, FX5200 (64 bit).

^I just assume people on the assembly line tested them, and marked the working ones for use on cards. I could be wrong, though...

So, I work in an electronics store and a couple of days ago a customer asked if we sold computer cables, specifically old 50-pin internal SCSI cables. Unfortunately we haven't sold those for many years, if ever, but he was hoping we had one hanging around in some old dusty forgotten corner or something. We chatted about old computer stuff and I learned he needed it for accessing some really old backup SCSI stuff at work. I told him that while we didn't have any cables like that in the store I probably had some at home and could give him one because I have no real use for them.

The next day I called him and told him I had the cable for him and he picked it up later that day. Not only was he really happy and promised to give me some of the stuff he had found in the basement at his work when he was done backing it up, but he also actually called my regional supervisor to gush about getting great service. 😀

A couple of days later the guy reappeared with the following stuff, asking me if I wanted it:

The ZIP drive is ATAPI/IDE. The Jazz drive is SCSI.

Scored another Geforce 6800ultra Agp, it's a XFX and should arrive soon.

I also got a geforce2 ultra but unfortunately it isn't perfect: image is a bit dark from as soon as it posts and there is some ''banding''. It is not like the usual memory errors but i'm afraid the memory is gone. It does finish 3dmark no problem and underclocking doesn' t change anything.

It's a shame as it is one of the last Geforce's missing in my collection .

Sounds like an analog issue. Look at the components around the vga port and see if you can see any damaged components.

Found a Gigabyte GA-6BXC v1.7 motherboard for an absurdly low price.. with free shipping.

Now I just need to get a Slot 1 CPU.

Any PCI cards in that lot?

Some different ram for my 5ghz Pentium4 Windows 98 system.. according to some old Micron documentation, this should run at 3-3-3-1T @ DDR2-400. 2x256MB set was only $6 shipped. Maybe I'll get lucky and get it to do something like 600-700 Mhz. We'll see.

Grabbed these three items from an online seller for $20: Socket 370 ASKA New-old stock motherboard with ISA slots (Audigy2/SB16 98SE/2000 dual-boot Pentium III project a-go!), BlackMagic (?) 12MB Voodoo 2, and a mystery ISA card I asked him to remove and send from a banged up old PC that I think/hope is a Creative SB16 of some sort.

For $10 more I could have gotten a noname Slot 1 mainboard, a slotket card and a Coppermine 700MHz CPU but to be honest, I have no need of them so I passed.
