I noticed, that my L2 gets really hot, when I'm using my 486 build. Also the case is rather small (well a normal AT with 2x 5 1/2 and 2x 3 1/2)
Because I have a lot of cards in it, I was wandering if there is a cheap easy way to cool down the case inside and the L2 Cache.
I'm using a VL/I-486SV2GX4 Board in the case and have 6 of 7 slots filled with 2 VLB cards, 2 full length and 2 half length Isa cards.
Thought about passive cooling, like a copper plate over all L2 cache chips with a heatsink, but have to be carful, because of the cables and the space inside the case.
also there is the problem with the Tag Ram, which also gets really hot, like the L2 cache.
Does anyone have experience with such a setup, or with cooling AT Cases in general?
