I've noticed someone has been able to get the first HG game running on modern Windows with some tweaks via Youtube, but every single time I start the game it gives me two errors:

I have tried the game on PCem and it worked fine, but I'm wondering what exactly is causing this issue.

Have you applied the "tweaks" in question? What exactly did you do?

The person who got it working installed the 1.1 patch, which I tried but it still threw up errors. They used DXWnd too to force window mode but I'm guessing that would assume that the game runs properly first.

You can place stuff in quotes when you Google and it will find that exact match of words. So what do you get when you combine "Heavy Gear" and "one or more dlls" in a Google search box? A suggestion to check your DEP settings.

Fixed it, DEP was indeed the culprit! Thanks. Game crashes when trying to load missions/training sadly but I can probably figure that out...
