Because it's ok for all the other people on road to see your plates but not the people online.

Because people on the road do not know your interests, your job, your hobbies and what computers you have home and cannot make connections. Think before you post passive aggressive stuff like that.

Your plates are public knowledge. Hiding it just makes you look like a Craigslist scanner.

Do you have any idea how easy it is for most of other people on this forum to figure out where you live solely based on the car you drive? They know the stuff you own an thus a pretty rough indication how much money you have. With the wrong intentions they will break into your house when your out for your holiday. We can figure that out just as easy based on how active you are here, 1 week offline? Let's pay his house a visit to empty it...
So stop posting like that and think before you post. Obscuring your or other people's license plates is the polite thing to ensure safety.

Ill take things that never happen for 500$

Id be more worried about the meta/Exif data your photos contain. If you take a photo with a smart phone it likely has your gps coordinates of were you took the photo.
Oh and letts not forget your IP address. Post at home and one can get your IP and pin point it to your home.

Anyway if your truly worried about your safety dont post online.

my daily driver.
And my weekend hobby project car.
1970 Camaro.
Bought in 1985 for $350. It had been stripped down to use as a drag car.
It was a bare body shell when I got it.
Took 15 years and a lot more money than I would like to think about, but it is done.

It has a flowmaster exhaust with a transverse muffler, so it sounds good but not too loud.
