Topic. It's apparently on the list, but when i tried it on the gog version it said it couldn't find the 'dll' entry point instead of ovl. I'm using kekko emulation patch, not a wrapper.

Speaking about the original game on real hardware, it certainly does. I don't know about gog's version or dosbox though.

Then i must be missing the ovl. I thought it was just static but guess it makes sense the gog version is halfassed.

You probably know this already, but there are at least two modern, open source game engines for the first two Descent games, with 3D hardware support. The two I know of are:

Yes, i know. I'm more interested in having Descent as part of my DOS collection that autoloads into a frontend with the rest of the games than actually replaying it. What can i say? I'm turning into a poseur.
