I wanted to share some things i found that are a swiss army knife for our beloved retro PC hardware. Let me start the list and maybe you can share new things that i forgot.
1) The one and only Gotek floppy drive emulator that you can use usb flashdrive and forget about those old broken floppy drives and floppy discs
2) IDE to CF adapter - Ever had a broken laptop ide hdd ? trash it, insert the ide to cf adapter and use windows from a cf card.
3) PCMCIA to SD card adapter / PCMCIA to CF card adapter+cf card to sd adapter> Great for old laptops. pop in one of those PCMCIA cards and you can read the SD card.
4) IDE to Sata adapter > Im sure there is a ton out there but some dont work and some work perfectly and you can enable DMA.
5) PS2 Keyboard To USB Adapter > ever had a model M ibm keyboard and wanted to use it with USB? this is the answer.
6) ATX to AT power supply adapter> You dont want to use an old power supply? just use the cable adapter with your newer power supply on a very old motherboard.
7) USB to any multiple HDD SATA, IDE, notebook IDE etc adapter, there is a lot of those on amazon that include power brick, in order to read old hdd using USB
what are your thoughts, im sure i forgot many more
