Hi, i have a pcchips motherboard that has a Duron 850 soldered on, the board is stable and runs well.
that said, it has a rather serious problem.
by default, it came overclocked, the processor report's itself as a Duron 892.5, with FSB being 105 and multiplier being 8.5
in the bios there are no settings for this, also i've looked at the crystal oscillators in the board, but all seems to be right, comparing to a another board that has socket and the FSB selectable (is from another brand also)
it doesn't have stability problems nor heat problems, the only real problem is the AGP and PCI slots being overclocked, making that some videocards aren't working at all, while others work just fine.
i think that dumping the bios, modifying it and reflashing should solve the problem, but i know nothing about how to do.
maybe someone can help me in this, or by giving me some ideas, because i want to use it better, the crappy integrated SIS video is making me crazy.
Thanks.
