I just got a Emachine W3400 I reinstall Windows XP sp3 but I have a problem with this SM Bus Controller Emachine dosn't show any driver for it and I search with no luck.
If you go to the device properties details and google the Hardware ID you may find compatible drivers.
you need to install the ATI chipset driver, it should have the SM Bus driver as part of it

I couldn't find a driver that worked for me from AMD, but I did find a driver from Dell that worked. The file name is R134875.EXE

The screen did go blank for almost 60 second on the first reboot, but it came up fine after that.
I had an Emachines T6520 with a MS-7145 V2.1 motherboard.
