Regenerating the Conf File

Postby GreatBarrier86 » 2005-10-10 @ 21:05

Hey,

I read a post in the dev forum about regenerating the Conf file when you put in a new build just in case new features have been added. Sounds like a good idea to me but i have no idea as to how to do it. Can someone help me out?

Second, I am using Star Trek JR and 25th anniv. and they obviously require XMS and EMS. The games run fine but i was just wondering if increasing the amount of available XMS/EMS would allow them to run even faster?

Thanks!
Jason

Do a dir of your Z:\ drive. I think it's conf or config or writeconf or something.

Yes, it's one of the DOSBox built-in commands like mount.

Well DosBox features don't change that much from official CVS. So if you constantly update CVS then you don't really need to since it's mostly bug fixes and not features.....but if you don't update DosBox that often then yeah it's a good idea.
