Hi guys,
so, finally got the extra RAM.
Compaq 486
100 MB RAM (4 MB motherboard-embedded + 3 modules of 32 MB each to fill all the 3 available slots).
MS-DOS 6.22
Everything installed and configured (including Himem.sys and EMM386 NOEMS), but.... Himem only sees about 32 MB XMS!
Everything else vanishes into thin air, as if it wasn't there (but the RAM count when I turn on the computer scans it all, lots of time, and finally gives 102400 KB OK).
What do I do? How do I get HIMEM to see at least 64 MB of RAM, if not all the 100 MB (well... technically 99 MB, as the below 1 MB is not of Himem's competence).
Or, is MS-DOS 7.1's Himem compatible with MS-DOS 6.22?
Thanks!!!
