Watched this today, it was fun seeing Doom3 on a Voodoo2, I've never tried it on my own, although I was kind of bummed that he didn't go SLI and use a faster CPU as well, but I understand this was something quick and dirty just for fun. As far as I could tell he also used even smaller textures than the ones that the OP used back then.
I remember being blown away when I first read about this in a magazine back in 2004. In all those years I had never seen it action. Perhaps I should install those Voodoo2 cards on my Northwood and try it out on my own 🤣 .
