Can't get Quest for Glory IV Sound/Voices to work

Dosbox .63

There is no sound or voices when I play Quest for Glory IV. All of the files are on a folder in my C drive. I mounted the D drive so that it is the same as the C drive, and got better music, but I still do not have voices or audio. Additionally, the text boxes pop up and quickly disappear. I believe this is due to the game timing itself to terminate the boxes when the speech ends, and since the speech never begins in the first place this is why the box is closed so quickly. I would appreciate any help given. Thank you. 😀

You have to edit the paths in the RESOURCE.CFG file to reflect where DOSBox will see the the game's resources. If you have copied all the files to your harddrive, change all the paths to .\ i.e.:

resAUD=.\
resSFX=.\
patchDir=.\;.\patches
