I don't have OSX but in Windows I have to specify:

"Mount d g:\ -t cdrom" to get Loom to work. Without -t cdrom then the game will not be able to find the CD.

Also, if you're not aware of this program, I would recommend you use ScummVM for playing Loom instead of DOSBox.

Thank you. I tried it, and it did mount as a CD. it said "MSCDEX: Mounted subdirectory: limited support" but it said it was mounted as a cdrom. I'm kind of new at ths, so im not sure what the limited support part meant. I tried to run loom.exe again, but it kept asking for CD 1 as usual. Any other ideas?

Are you actually mounting directly to the CD? On Windows I usually get the "Mounted subdirectory" if I mount from the hard drive. I'll have to boot into Linux to see if I get that message when mounting the cd from /mnt but I wouldn't think you'd receive that error message unless you were mounting the CD from the HD.

As Freddo suggested try ScummVM www.scummvm.org.

The game will run perfectly in ScummVM if you rip the audio track to ogg and place it in the game's folder on your hard drive. You can find out more about how to do this on the ScummVM forums.
