Hi, I've run into a rather annoying problem: I recently got an IBM PC XT 5160, in which I have since installed an XTIDE interface card so I could use a CF card as a hard drive. It works fine for the most part, but for some reason I'm having a problem getting some Seirra AGI games to run. Basically, I've tested King's Quest 2 and the AGI version of 4, as well as Gold Rush, and only KQ2 runs from the CF card without problem. KQ4 and Gold Rush both soft-lock the computer by giving me the "Please insert disk 1" message in an endless loop (in Gold Rush's case, after the intro cutscene), and no, it doesn't actually try to access a floppy so this isn't copy protection. All the files are present and I even took the card out and ran the games just fine on a Windows 98 computer off the CF card. I'm really stumped as to what the problem might be. I wasn't able to get the "high speed" mode of the XTIDE card to work, maybe that's causing issues? Also I should mention that the games run fine if I run them from floppy disk, though it is excruciatingly slow to play them that way.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
