I've been considering getting Vortex 2 for my perspective P2 build and accidentally received MX200 offer. From what I understand, this is Vortex 1 and it comes with some kind of daughterboard. Is it possible to use this board with SB? Anyone had experience with this card? Trying to keep my collection manageable, would certainly snatch it otherwise as it looks mildly intriguing.

It's Monster Sound M80, cheap variation without quadro speaker support and horrible MIDI.

From what I understand, this is Vortex 1

It isn't, but Diamond licensed A3D support.

Is it possible to use this board with SB?

Yes. In fact it's advertised.

I must be some kind of standard: the anonymous gangbanger of the 21st century.
