I'm actually pretty shocked that AMD keeps an archive of seemly all the video cards they have ever produced, heck I still able to get drivers for the ATI Rage™ LT PRO AGP card that came in the Gateway G6-400 Pentium II computer that I got really cheap recently. Has anyone found anything they don't have drivers for? This is pretty impressive support to keep drivers around even if they are just old drivers.

Main Computer: Custom - Intel 12900K, Asus Nvidia 3080 Ti, 64 GB DDR5.
Retro Computer: Packard Bell Legend I - AMD 286, 640KB RAM
Retro Computer: Shuttle XPC - Pentium 4 2.8 GHz FSB 400 MHz, ATi Radeon 9600 Pro, Sound Blaster Live!, 2GB RAM.

X800/850 drivers for 98 are missing. To be fair, they are only beta drivers, but I haven't been able to find them in forever.

Not that beta drivers from ATI from that time are fun to use anyway.

I have them but was never able to successfully install them in Windows 98SE on an 815EP base board with an X800 variant (always showed an error in device manager). Not much fun indeed.

I got them to "work" in the past. Unless you are a masochist, you didn't miss anything.

Probably only myself and 2~3 other people on the planet actually care, but WinXP graphics and chipset drivers for the AMD Bobcat-core APUs (E-450, C-50, etc) are missing. Good thing the motherboard makers still tend to have them available, albeit older versions.

I also didn't see chipset driver packages for various AMD Bulldozer-derived APU products (socket FM1/FM2) in there either, but I didn't spend much time looking.

Looks like I can still download Win98/ME/2K/XP packages for my old Rage 128 VR, though.

My wife had a C-60 based netbook a few years ago . I could not find drivers for it on AMD's site even when it was current tech (i.e. fresh out of the store).

I've noticed that Windows 95 drivers have gotten hard to find since AMD only carries drivers for Windows 98+. Luckily I was able to get ATI Rage Pro Turbo drivers for Windows 95 from the HP website before they pulled the plug on downloads for their older drivers.

For the record, the driver's filename is "ati523_1.exe". A quick google search reveals what should be good links for this if anyone wants to use their Rage Pro card on a Windows 95 system (I understand that not everyone uses 95 these days as Windows 98 is mainly used for 9x rigs, but there's always going to be someone who wants to play with various different Windows versions on their old rigs).

From what I could gather, the ATI Rage 128 series is the last of their cards to support 95, all of the Radeons need at least Windows NT 4.0 or 98 for driver support.

That was a name thing. I also had a C-50 netbook and iirc you needed to look for either the codename of the APU ('Ontario') or for the name of the companion chip. But it was long ago so I don't remember clearly, just that the drivers were there somewhere.

Those are available if you look for the Radeon 9700 series drivers.
