I am sorry if this has been covered, I am new to DOS builds.

I purchased my first retro PC that I plan to be a pure DOS build, at least for now.
I have upgraded the bios to the latest version and it supports up to 136GB of my 256GB drive.

My question is.. Is there any trickery to get use out of the remaining drive through partitions?

It's not a big issue as 136gb is already overkill for a DOS build, I am simply curious.

Thanks!

Not really. You need lba48 for this and early controllers generally don't support drive addressing that high.

The BX chipset LBA addressing maxes out at around 160GB, due to disks are addressed 130Gb is reasonable

If you did want more you can use Dynamic drive overlay software if you wish to go above the limit of a motherboard.
