I know I have all the drivers properly setup, because sound effects work fine in both Windows 3.11, Windows 95, and other DOS games. No matter if I launch Doom from inside Windows 95, 95 DOS mode, Or exit Windows 3.11 to DOS prompt, I only get Music and no sound effects from Doom. I am selecting sound blaster from the menu for sound effects and the computer is a Packard Bell Legend 10CD with the PB450 motherboard. I read somewhere that Phoenix Bios 4.03 had a bug that prevented sound effects in Doom or something, So I have updated to a much newer third party Bios version 4.05 dated 1999. I am at a loss on what to do. What could the issue be?
