I am Working on a Win 98se computer with a P3 750mhz and it has a Crystal CX4235-XQ3 with a wave table header on it..
the Card over all plays nice and seems to be compatible with the games but like in PhilsComputerLab video the FM synthesizer on it is broken
now if i get the DREAMBLASTER SYNTH S2 and plug it in would it be disabling the FM synthesizer and just use the Dreamblaster? or is there some other magic?

No you will be selected GM rather than Adlib/SB in the game options, just make sure to choose the right port (300 or 330). FM will no longer be involved then.

CS/CX4236+ cards are cheap and plentiful if you want a card with the FM flaw gone. Some games require FM for audio support.

Crystal Semi variously used the CS and CX prefix. So, a CS4235 is the same as a CX4235. They also made a 4236 and 4237 series of chips that removed the most egregious problems of the 4235. In particular, CS4237 chips can be commonly found on highly integrated cards that look almost exactly like ones using the CS4235, only the FM output doesn't sound like ass.

🤣

I want to sit whoever worked on the FM for that chipset down and ask them - eyeball to eyeball - did you test it? DID YOU TEST IT!!?? ANSWER ME!!

Put them in a cell for a week with looped, piped in FM tunes off a 4235. The punishment must fit the crime.

It'd be interesting to hear what the story was of how it came to be.

Tried to test a 4235, but the card was not detected at all. Maybe it's a good thing...
