Hi,

The picture on the screen is strange.

I have a vertical black line on the screen (see the picture)

The motherboard is a PVI486-SP3

I have tested with different screen and graphic card and I have the same result.

It's a default of the the motherboard ?

Thanks

You need to give more info; I guess this is a VGA card connected to an LCD screen? Could be the DACs on the card, could be the LCD not liking DOS resolutions. What cards did you test? Trident? Cirrus Logic? Tseng? They are known to give LCD's a hard time with vertical bars.

It's a vga card (S3) connected to a LCD. I use the same LCD with an other 486 and I don't have the same problem.
I have tested with a S3, Trident and Cirrus Logic.

Do you adjust the clock and/or phase of the screen when you connect it?

LCD screens with analog input do have these adjustments when feeding them an analog signal, as well as an "auto adjust" function (either a button or as an option in the OSD.)

With that being said, I'm not seeing a vertical black line on the image you posted, and I've been looking at it for like a whole minute now 😵

Ok I see this option but it's no effect.
