Hi,
I found two mainboards, a QDI P6i440BX/BIS 1.0 Legend and a ECS P6BX-A+ both on slot 1 socket and also some different processors to try:
- Pentium 2 400/512/100/2.0v
- Pentium 3 500/512/100/
- Pentium 3 550/256/100/1.65v
- Pentium 3 600/512/100/2.05v
- Pentium 3 600EB/256/133/1.65v
I am trying Debian 8.x with a 3.x modern kernel and lxde and impressed really how fast an old Pentium2 can be with a "good" FX5200 card (it's universal 3,3v agp right? 😁) but impressed also how much faster it went switching to the Pentium 3 500.
Is there any benchmark comparison of fastest Pentium2 to oldest Pentium3? Also any info you have on these mainboards and cpu? I upgraded the bios of the ECS P6BX-A+ to support P3 but I don't find anything for the QDI.
Thank
