Hi, all
There's an issue that has been bugging me for all of the three years I've been collecting retro hardware: the fact that you have to manually adjust the picture for every resolution/graphics mode if you didn't like your image getting slightly off-center or smaller/larger than the actual screen area. AFAIK only the older screens with analogue adjustment knobs are free from this issue. My current screen is a CTX PR711FL, an early 2000s 17 inch Trinitron model, but I had this issue on various Samsung and Sony screens. It's also present with any videocard I've ever tried, from lowend Acumos AVGA2 to Voodoo 5.
So I'm guessing everybody must have been solving this issue back in the day and the way to solve that must have been to manually adjust the screen for every graphic mode/resolution. Is there a tool that would cycle through all the popular modes so I could set my screen straight?
Any other suggestion is welcome, too.
