First of all, sorry for posting this in here. I tried to register, but I didn't receive mail with activation link 😜

Second of all, im using Windows XP, don't know how everything works on other versions of windows.

And now to the problem:
I tried to run one old dos game: "Shortline". (Found at HOTU)
When i just run it with exe file, black screen appears and nothing else...
Then i found this DosBox program, that could emulate Dos and tried with it. Mounted the disk and ran the game. Now the picture appeared. Keybord buttons worked. But mouse didn't. I even tried to run mouse driver from DosBox, like the real Dos had to 😀 Didn't help 🙁
Then i read about the fullscreen mode and tried that too. Now even the mouse appeared and looked like everything could work just fine... but the screen was turned by 90 degreed to one side.

I searched google if there was this error and how to fix it.. no results
I found like 2 or 3 forums where there was topics about the game.. no results.
Now i found this forum and decided to ask for help, can you plz help me?

Well the game doesn't enable the mouse cursor, nor does it
any drawing in the custom handler, so i wouldn't know how
it should get the mouse working. Maybe it DID work with some
special mouse driver.

I actually received the mail, it went to spam list 😜
So, anyone who can, plz move this topic to "DOSBox Games/Apps".

On the topic: The mouse appeared in fullscreen mode. Just the screen was rotated. So there isn't any special driver. And i remember playing it on dos. It used usual mouse driver, nothing special.

Maybe then someone knows what's wrong with the screen? Why is it turned by 90°?

I suspect your video driver may try to be smart. Try various values for the "output" configuration setting. Read the README to learn how to change settings.

Another option worth trying is "fullfixed=true" with "fullresolution=0x0". Again, play with various "output" settings after doing that.
