Hey all,

I dled Dark Queen of Krynn from UDogs, and for some reason, whenever I try to 'install' it from DosBox (or WinXP for that matter) to change the sound settings, import game save folder, etc., it gives me an error when I try to complete the changes, basically saying that it can't copy to the subfolder "Disk1". Now, the Underdogs version has three subfolders (other than the 'SAVE' folder) in the main game folder called "Disk 1," "Disk 2," etc. (But, "Disk 2" is strangely more than 1.44 MB!) Even so, I couldn't even get Disk 1 to register with an actual floppy with the Disk 1 folder stuff in it.

Anyone else have this problem? The game runs, but it only wants to work with PC Speaker, even though the .BAT file "start.bat" has switches to supposedly select a SB220, IRQ, and what I think is the Roland midi switch. I've tried everything.. the INSTALL program just will not complete the saving of changes..

I thought if I made a subdirectory exactly the same as the install program already has (probably from the UnderDogs guy who used it last).. , but that didn't change anything. The install just says it can't copy to whatever subfolder I select with a "DISK1" subfolder added on. What do you think?

Hey Guys,

Ok, so I break down and forced my Dark Queen files to be in the same folder as the current Install program wants, and that actually -did- work.
Sucks that I can't change it to my own folder.. but oh well. Now I have a Game BUG problem:

I started chars in Champions of Krynn and beat it, with a maxed out Ranger at level 8.

I imported my chars into Death Knights of Krynn, and for some reason, my Ranger would not level beyond Level 8! He has just as much experience as the other chars, but I can't train him! The XP chart in the manual for Death Knights clearly shows Ranger levels up to Level 14, and I have more than enough XP to level that high! I'm towards the end of the game now, and ready to move on to Dark Queen of Krynn.

So I thought maybe Dark Queen would be smart enough to level him since he has tons of XP, but no chance. Even DQueen says he can't train because he doesn't have enough XP. Doesn't make sense.. he has over a million XP.

I guess I'll just have to break down and create a new Ranger in Death Knights and see if it will let me level him beyond lev 8 while I try to beat the game.

Maybe, anyone know of a char editor for Dark Queen of Krynn? I could manually level him to reflect his XP.
Any help?
