What do you currently have installed on the hard drive?
Do you have anything else installed on the same IDE channel, like a CD-ROM drive?
Check that your HDD's jumpers have been properly configured for Master and connect the end of the IDE cable to the hard drive.
It's also possible you have a faulty IDE cable.

Remove the HDD and try to boot from Floppy, does that work?
Is the HDD tested and OK? Drives with problems spinning up gave me identical problems.

And what is your boot order in Bios? Is it C, A or is it A, C?

Thanks, it work now but why the external cache enable freeze boot ? There is a problem with the CPU or is the fake cache ?

First thing check the jumpers on the motherboard against the manual to see if the cache is configured properly.

If you have access to another set of cache or a tester test your cache chips.

See if there is a later bios version for your board, if you have access to a external programmer. When I put this board in google a link to phils computer lab came with a manual and some bios images.

It could also be a irq conflict with the hdd controller and a soundcard maybye? try with video card and ide controller only

I see that on my motherboard the TAG is missing. The TAG is important ?

Yes it's important, cache cannot work without it. Are you 100% sure it's missing (and that it's not just some other chip soldered on the board)

I double check tonight but I'm sure the support of TAG is empty

Problem solved.

I put a new TAG ship in the socket and now it work perfectly.
