First timer, so I'll try to get everything in the first time!

I'm trying to get the cd version of earthsiege working with dosbox v. 0.63. It gets through the opening movie, and then doxbox crashes with something like this error:

Illegal address has caused a page fault:
<more info, but the screen closes before I can read it all>

This happens every time. If I hit enter to skip the opening movie, the screens close too fast to see if there is an error message. Is there a log file anywhere (couldn't find one in the dosbox directory).

My computer is a new KN1 laptop from Quanta (don't know much more about the mother board). 1.73 GHz Pentium 740 M; NVidia Go 6600 video card w/ 128MB DDR2 dedicated; 1 GB RAM DDR2; built in audio.

The opening movie does have sound, but the video is "choppy." It goes for a second, pauses, goes for a second, pauses, etc. It does this every time. I have tried increasing the speed of dosbox using ctrl+F12, but don't see much improvement before it dies. When it does die, though, I do not see any error messages, just a black screen until it closes. I have read through the readme and the basic online docs for dosbox.

I tried to use VDMSound, but it wouldn't even get through an installation (never gave an option to specify a location to install to, much less copy over any files)
