I have a board I have been planning on changing the cpu socket (socket 3 ZIF, 486) for a week or 2 now. I got a few Socket 1 sockets LIF (low insertion force) the black sockets you just push the cpu in then carefully pull it out.
It would be more beneficial to swap the socket 3 for a socket 3 which is easier to insert the cpu because there is the lever and there is more pins pentium over drive.
Alto I will probably only use 486 - 5x86 chips on this board its always nice to use the best part for the job.
There is nowhere in Google I could find anybody sells these, I know I am late 20-25 years to the party so don't blame nobody for stocking it. I know some people use donor boards but I have none beyond repair.
Before I go and install a brand new socket 1 thought id ask maybye ill get lucky
