Right now I'm stuck with VGA, until I figure out how the RCA header on this video card works. I found the right pins, I think, but I can't get a signal out of it to save my life. Another part of the learning curve, I guess. Or, time to start looking for a CGA monitor so I can see if that plug on the card works.
Well, I've wasted way too much time trying to get it to work with the original monitor. I even tried using the red + hsync with a resistor to connect it to the VGA cable, and did get some messed up text on the screen (hsync way off, too high resolution)
I found a jumper to disable the ROM on my video card and tried to use it directly using the other switch settings, but that didn't work at all.
I think until I can afford to buy a video card with composite output (at ridiculous ebay prices) I'll probably just end up using an old VGA monitor. Oh well.
