What are some of the best games for toddlers or young kids that you might remember from the 80s and 90s? DOS would be best but even win3.1/9x might be ok.
I'd like to give my kids an experience that's different from all the iPad/iPhone games that are out there. I feel like a fullscreen game that can't be minimized or have a bunch of ads or microtransactions would be a better experience for kids.

Oh, and also, The Incredible Machine. Loved that one as a kid, love it today as an adult in a trenchcoat.

and by that i don't mean C&C/LOL/Dune2/CrescentHawks but their Disney-related licensed games prior to 1993.
The first two Putt-Putt games ('Joins the Parade' & 'Goes to the Moon') if you want to introduce them to point & click adventures. There are more titles in the series, but I found the first two (which are DOS-based) to have the most charming art style and content. And they're by Monkey Island's Ron Gilbert.

Yes, this. Fatty Bear is another good one from the same makers.
