Hi, I'm looking at getting a dos machine to play the older sierra games such as pq1 thru 4 and space quest series, commander keen etc.. I've also got a mt32 so might get a card to connect that.

There is a machine i can get that works which is a hp vectra 486/33NI intel dx33. older pc's are harder to get in my country as alot of people have probably chucked them out when they ran an e-waste campaign.
Would that machine be alright to run the older games or is it still to fast.

I already have a p133, k6-2-300, p2-500 and a p3-500, athlon 1400 and a p4 qx9650.

Also i'm not interested in period correct. So don't want a collection of different pc's as i will be downsizing the machines i have when i figure which ones to keep and which ones to get rid of.

just want a machine that will play that earlier stuff at their correct speed.

Thanks in advance

A p133 would do fine. You can use setmul to disable instructions, lower the multiplier and the bus speed, and disable L2 cache in the bios. You shouldn't have any trouble approximating a 386 and a 486.
