Nice.. I am still looking for a few older Intel Extreme CPUs.. that being one of them.
Anyway, take a look at Game Debate. I didn't know that they had a game list / system requirements area.
For the year change.. just change the year in the address bar.
2004 - year that CPU was released

Geforce 8800 GTX or Ultra
As far as motherboards go.. just find a good LGA775 board and use that. The i865 and i915 are the latest with official Win9x drivers as far as I know. Intel driver version is: 6.2.1.1001.
The readme does mention the 925X/XE though I don't see that in the files in the driver so who knows.
There is also the newer 6.3.0.1007 which I didn't know existed but is available for download from vogonsdrivers.

That also says it supports the 875 chipset though I don't see files for it. Guessing it uses the 865 ones?
The driver that Intel still has easily availabe that lists windows 98 - 8.3.1.1009 does not actually support anything below Windows 2000.
Edit: found an even newer Intel chipset driver with Windows 98 support - 6.3.1.1004 - dated 4-18-2005.
