I think this is an issue with incompatabilities between 2 computers. Jill of the Jungle doesn't detect my soundblaster emulation settings so I'm forced to use the PC engine sounds for emulation. I checked my soundblaster settings, and they are the exact same thing as my other computer, which is able to run the soundblaster tracks in Jill of the Jungle flawlessly. What's odd about this is that every other game I have on Dosbox directory has the same soundblaster performance with other games. Examples, Doom, Commander Keen 4-6, Duke Nukem 2 all have soundblaster emulation working properly.

Actually, I managed to fix this issue myself, and it MIGHT be a bug in the DOSbox program itself. The Jill games don't seem to detect Soundblaster when the amount of cycles used are within a certain range. Soundblaster won't work in the Jill games with cycles set at 10500, yet it works fine under 11700 cycles.

Jill of the Jungle has a very unstable detection of sound cards. I find that running it multiple times can give very different results. Try setting cycles very low (it helps a little) and then once it detects properly, don't touch the setup options anymore. After that you can safely raise the cycles and sound will work.

This odd detection happened for me EVEN in the old dos days.
