Just bought this card to give my win98 rig a bit more muscle. Can anyone recommend which nvidia drivers
to start out testing it with?

Yes I know the P3 850 is bit weak for it but also looking for a powerleap slot 1 adapter that can hold a tualatin.
They are not cheap or easy to find by the way.

That is equal to a GeForce4 Ti4600. I would try 77.72 drivers from here https://www.techspot.com/drivers/driver/file/ … formation/5437/

If the drivers won't install, you may have an OEM card with a device ID not contained in the NVAGP.inf file (in the nvidia folder after extracting), in which case you would need to figure out the device id (using a program such as siv32L) and then changing the 4-digit ID for either the Ti4600 or Quadro4 900 XGL entry to match the one for your card.

Tried 45.23 and all seems ok except for (2) hiccups:

Tomb Raider 3 crashes after trying to set to 1024x 768 32bit. This is the only game that's given me
trouble. TR2 and TR Chronicles runs fine, go figure. Will try to patch it up, may be sound related.

Random lockups after shutting down - get "windows 98 shutting down" screen freeze.

Still doing some testing with it, wonder though if I should drop down to whatever driver version
did not include support for the FX card series.
