Makes me wonder why NASA is throwing out their historic stuff everytime.
Museums would pay a fortune for that!

Reminds me a bit of the story of the ISSE-3/ICE satellite that after it was sent to sleep,
NASA scrapped the old antennas/transceiver devices all together.
Ironically, some hobbyists were able to make contact with this relic, whereas NASA couldn't.
