Hi again!

i have been trying to get a few old games of mine working recently and another one is Steel Beasts 1 - i have it running fine through using DXwnd to run it, though its in a little window - but thats fine, what though is irking me is this graphics glitch where some textures a transparent on vehichles from various angles , such as in the screenshot i attached. What kind of error is this and what would i need to do to fix it? do i tweak it in Dxwnd? or do i use the Application compatibility toolkit or is the answer simpler than these options

okay i found a fix on the steel beasts site - it requires dxwnd, and one just has to apply the tweak ddraw:AllowSysMemoryon3DDevices"

this fixes the reversed graphics issue, the remaining issue is that after a mission one has to leave the game and start again before doing a new one as there is a failure to initialise D3DRM.dd error that occurs - i wonder though if there is another dxwnd fix maybe that dll hooking (i am still not sure what hooking means in dxwnd but i will try it)
